  • Profile information you choose to provide.
  • Profile image or other optional profile details.
  • Account status and registration-related information.

If you use a third-party sign-in service, such as Google Sign-In, we may receive information made available through that authentication process, subject to the permissions and settings involved.

We do not intend to collect more account information than is reasonably necessary to operate the relevant features.

2.2 Published Content and Contributions

When you submit or publish content, we may process information associated with your contribution, including:

  • Articles, posts, and other submitted material.
  • Author display names and profile information.
  • Images, attachments, and other uploaded media.
  • Article titles, categories, tags, and publication information.
  • Editing history or other content-management information, where available.

Content published on x_O may be publicly accessible and indexed by search engines or collected by third-party services.

Please consider this before submitting personal or sensitive information.

Depending on the configuration, this may include:

  • IP address.
  • Browser type and version.

  • General location information inferred from network data.
  • Referring pages and requested URLs.
  • Access times and dates.
  • Website interaction and usage information.

For example, authentication services may provide account information needed to sign you in.

The information received depends on the service, its configuration, and the permissions involved.

4. Publicly Available Information

Some information becomes publicly visible when you choose to publish it on x_O.

This may include:

  • Your author display name.
  • Your published articles and posts.
  • Your profile information that is configured for public display.

  • Publication dates and other associated content information.

Public content may be:

  • Viewed by visitors.
  • Shared through social media or other websites.
  • Indexed by search engines.
  • Quoted or referenced by other publishers.
  • Collected, cached, or archived by third parties.

Removing content from x_O does not guarantee that independently collected copies will also disappear.

Please avoid publishing information that you do not want to make publicly available.

5. Account Information and Profile Visibility

Your account information is used to provide membership and publishing services.

Certain information may be displayed publicly as part of your author identity, depending on your profile settings and the platform’s features.

You should avoid including sensitive personal information in public profile fields.

Closing your account removes your access to account features. However, articles already published under your account may remain publicly available under the same author display name, with an appropriate inactive-account notation and/or without a link to your author profile.

Account closure does not automatically remove previously published articles.

A separate request is required if you want specific content considered for removal or anonymization.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

x_O and certain third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies to support website functionality and other purposes.

Depending on the services enabled and their configuration, these technologies may be used for:

  • Essential website functionality.
  • Authentication and session management.
  • Security and abuse prevention.
  • User preferences.
  • Analytics and performance measurement.
  • Advertising and measurement.
  • Other integrated services.

For more information, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

7. Third-Party Services

x_O may use third-party services to support website operations, authentication, communication, security, analytics, advertising, and infrastructure.

Depending on the actual configuration, these services may include:

Google services

Google services may be used for functions such as:

  • Google Sign-In or other authentication features.
  • Google Analytics.
  • Google AdSense.
  • Email delivery through Google SMTP or related infrastructure.
  • Other Google services used to operate or maintain the platform.

Not every Google service necessarily processes the same information. The data involved depends on the particular service and its configuration.

Cloudflare services

Cloudflare services may be used for functions such as:

  • DNS and traffic management.
  • Content delivery and performance.
  • Website security and protection.
  • Infrastructure-related services.
  • Cloudflare R2 storage, where integrated.

The information processed depends on which Cloudflare products are enabled and how they are configured.

Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We encourage users to review the relevant provider documentation and privacy notices.

8. When We May Share Information

We do not intend to sell members’ personal information as a standalone commercial product.

However, information may be shared or processed in the following circumstances:

Service providers

We may share relevant information with providers that help us operate x_O, such as hosting, security, storage, authentication, email, analytics, or advertising providers.

Legal obligations

We may disclose information when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or a lawful request from an authorized authority.

Security and protection

We may process or disclose relevant information when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents, abuse, violations of our policies, or threats to users and the platform.

Business or operational changes

If the platform undergoes a restructuring, transfer, or similar operational change, relevant information may be handled as permitted by applicable law and subject to appropriate safeguards.

With your direction or consent

We may share information when you specifically request or authorize us to do so.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it is held.

For example:

  • Account information may be retained while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward where necessary.
  • Published articles may remain available even after an account is closed.
  • Support requests and reports may be retained as needed to manage the relevant matter.
  • Security and technical logs may be retained for operational, diagnostic, and security purposes.
  • Backup and other technical copies may remain until they are overwritten, expire, or are removed through ordinary maintenance and data-retention processes.

We do not promise that every record or technical copy will be erased immediately when an account or content-removal request is processed.

10. Content Removal and Residual Copies

When an article or post is approved for removal, x_O will take the necessary steps to remove it from public access and the relevant active content systems.

x_O does not intend to maintain separate content archives of articles or posts that have been removed as part of its normal content-retention practices.

However, copies of content may temporarily remain in technical systems used to operate and maintain the platform, including databases, backups, system logs, or hosting infrastructure.

Handling and removing these residual copies may take additional time and will generally take longer than 24 hours. The time required may vary depending on the system and technical process involved.

Such copies may remain until they are overwritten, expire, or are removed through the relevant maintenance and data-retention processes.

We do not promise that every residual technical copy will be immediately or simultaneously erased from all systems.

This does not mean that x_O intends to restore removed content to public access or continue using it for ordinary publication or promotion.

Third parties may independently collect, crawl, cache, index, copy, quote, or archive content that was previously publicly available. We cannot guarantee that those independently stored copies will be removed when the original content is removed from x_O.

For further information, please refer to our Request Content Removal or Anonymization page.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable measures designed to protect information handled through x_O.

Depending on the technical environment, these measures may include:

  • Access restrictions and account permissions.
  • Authentication and security controls.
  • Secure communication technologies.
  • Infrastructure and application maintenance.
  • Security monitoring and abuse prevention.
  • Backup and recovery procedures.
  • Measures to identify and respond to suspicious activity.

No website, online service, or data transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We therefore cannot promise absolute protection against every possible security incident.

12. International Data Processing

Some third-party service providers used by x_O may process or store information in locations outside Indonesia.

Where this occurs, information may be subject to the laws and data-protection requirements applicable in those locations.

We will seek to handle such processing in accordance with applicable Indonesian data-protection requirements and other relevant legal obligations.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, including Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022), you may have rights concerning your personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include the right to:

  • Obtain information about the processing of your personal data.
  • Access personal data concerning you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate personal data.
  • Request completion or correction of incomplete information.
  • Request deletion or destruction of personal data where legally applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Object to certain forms of processing where applicable.
  • Request restrictions or other measures where provided by law.
  • Submit a complaint concerning the handling of your personal data.

These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions, exceptions, and limitations.

A request to delete personal information does not automatically mean that every published article, legal record, or technical copy must be immediately erased.

We may need to retain certain information where legally permitted or required, or where it is reasonably necessary to protect legitimate rights and interests.

14. How to Submit a Privacy Request

To submit a privacy-related request, contact us through our Contact Us page and select the relevant privacy category.

Please provide enough information for us to understand and process your request.

We may request reasonable verification to confirm that the request comes from the relevant person or an authorized representative.

We will assess and respond to requests in accordance with applicable requirements.

15. Children’s Privacy

x_O is not intended to be a platform for collecting personal information from children without appropriate authorization or legal basis.

We do not knowingly seek to collect unnecessary personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to x_O in circumstances that may be inappropriate or unlawful, please contact us so we can review the matter.

16. External Websites

Articles and other content on x_O may link to external websites and services.

We do not control the privacy practices of those external services.

When visiting an external website, please review its privacy policy and terms independently.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices, third-party integrations, or legal requirements change.

The latest version will be published on x_O with its updated date.
