Have something to share?
x_O welcomes articles, tutorials, opinions, personal stories, reviews, creative writing, and other useful or interesting contributions from our community.
Whether you want to share professional knowledge, explain something you have learned, discuss an interesting topic, tell a personal story, or simply express an opinion, x_O gives you a place to publish it.
These guidelines explain how to prepare and submit content to x_O.
1. Who Can Submit?
Content submissions are available to registered x_O members.
You must have an active account and use the available submission features to publish your contributions.
By submitting an article, you confirm that you have the right to publish the material and agree to follow our policies and Terms of Use.
2. What Can You Write About?
We welcome a wide range of topics.
Examples include:
Business
Business ideas, entrepreneurship, small businesses, marketing, management, finance, and industry developments.
Technology
Technology news, software, hardware, gadgets, artificial intelligence, internet services, cybersecurity, web development, and digital trends.
Entertainment
Movies, music, television, games, celebrities, popular culture, and other entertainment topics.
Lifestyle
Daily experiences, hobbies, productivity, personal development, travel, food, and everyday interests.
Tutorials and Guides
Step-by-step instructions, practical tips, educational materials, technical guides, and useful explanations.
Opinions and Commentary

Corner and Personal Stories
Personal experiences, reflections, observations, complaints, life stories, and other subjects you would like to share.
Humor and Creative Writing
Funny stories, satire, jokes, creative writing, and entertaining contributions.
These are examples rather than strict categories. If your topic is relevant to the community and complies with our policies, it may be suitable for x_O.
3. Writing Quality and Language
We do not require every article to sound formal, academic, or professional.
You may write in a conversational, personal, technical, or creative style, depending on your subject and intended audience.
However, your submission should:
- Be reasonably clear and understandable.
- Use natural language.
- Have a meaningful subject or purpose.
- Be organized well enough for readers to follow.
- Avoid unnecessary repetition.
- Use an appropriate title.
- Avoid deliberately misleading descriptions or headlines.
You may write in English, Indonesian, or other languages supported by the platform.
4. Article Length
There is no fixed minimum or maximum word count for ordinary submissions.
Write as much as your subject requires.
A short personal story may be perfectly suitable, while a detailed tutorial or technical explanation may need considerably more space.
Focus on usefulness, clarity, and completeness rather than word count.
5. Originality and Plagiarism
Please submit original work or material that you are legally permitted to publish.
Do not:
- Copy another person’s article and present it as your own.
- Republish copyrighted material without permission where permission is required.
- Remove or alter required attribution.
- Submit another person’s work under your name.
- Use automated rewriting tools to disguise copied material.
You may discuss, quote, summarize, or reference other publications when legally permitted and properly attributed.
Giving credit does not automatically replace permission when permission is legally required.
6. References and Sources
When writing news-related articles, analysis, commentary, or opinions based on external reporting, include relevant references or links to your sources.
Useful references help readers understand where information comes from and evaluate the claims being presented.
Where appropriate:
- Link to the original source.
- Identify the publication, organization, or author.
- Provide the date of the relevant information.
- Distinguish direct quotations from your own explanations.
- Avoid relying entirely on anonymous or unverified claims.
Not every personal story or opinion needs formal references. However, factual claims should be supported when appropriate.
7. Quotations and Third-Party Material
You may include quotations, excerpts, images, illustrations, videos, charts, and other third-party materials when their use is legally permitted.
Please ensure that:
- You have permission or an appropriate license when necessary.
- Required attribution is included.
- Quotations are clearly distinguished from your own writing.
- Sources are identified where appropriate.
- Images and other media have a clear origin.
Do not assume that material found through search engines or social media is free to reuse.
8. Images and Featured Media
Images can make articles more engaging and easier to understand.
When adding images:
- Use original or properly licensed material.
- Provide appropriate credits when required.
- Use relevant images that support the article.
- Avoid misleading captions.
- Do not publish private images without appropriate authorization.
- Avoid unnecessarily exposing sensitive personal information.
Where possible, provide alternative text for meaningful images.
9. Artificial Intelligence and Writing Assistance
You may use AI tools to assist with writing, research, translation, editing, and other creative tasks.
However, you remain responsible for the final article.
Before submitting AI-assisted content:
- Check factual claims and references.
- Verify that quoted material is accurate.
- Remove fabricated sources or unsupported statements.
- Review the language and overall quality.
- Ensure that the content does not infringe third-party rights.
- Make sure the article reflects the purpose and meaning you intend to communicate.
AI should be a tool to help you create better content, not a substitute for responsibility.
Where substantial AI involvement could materially affect readers’ understanding of the article, appropriate disclosure is encouraged.
10. News, Opinions, and Serious Allegations
News-related articles and opinions are welcome.
However, contributors should distinguish confirmed information from personal interpretation, speculation, and unverified reports.
If your article makes serious allegations about an identifiable person or organization, take particular care to:
- Check the reliability of your information.
- Provide supporting evidence where appropriate.
- Avoid presenting unsupported accusations as established facts.
- Respect privacy and applicable legal rights.
- Give relevant context rather than relying on misleading excerpts.
x_O may apply additional review to submissions involving significant legal, privacy, reputational, or safety risks.
11. Commercial Content and Disclosures
You may submit sponsored articles, product reviews, business promotions, and other commercial content when permitted by x_O.
However, relevant commercial relationships must be declared before publication.
Examples include:
- Payment or sponsorship from a company.
- Affiliate links that may generate commissions.
- Products or services provided free of charge.
- Paid promotional arrangements.
- Other relationships that may influence how readers interpret the article.
Please use the available disclosure options when submitting your article.
Do not disguise advertising or paid promotions as independent editorial recommendations.
See our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure policy for details.
12. What Happens After Submission?
x_O is designed around open community publishing.
Ordinary articles may be published without routine prior editorial review, based on the assumption that members submit their work in good faith.
Depending on the platform’s available features, your submission may be:
- Draft: Saved but not yet submitted for publication.
- Pending Review: Awaiting additional review in cases where special checks are necessary.
- Published: Available to readers on x_O.
- Revision Required: Additional information or changes are needed.
- Restricted: Temporarily or permanently unavailable due to a moderation or other policy decision.
- Rejected: Not accepted for publication.
- Archived: No longer actively published but retained or handled according to the applicable platform process.
Not every submission will pass through every status.
In particular, Pending Review is not a mandatory stage for all ordinary articles.
13. Publication Does Not Mean Endorsement
Publication on x_O does not automatically mean that the platform has independently verified or endorsed your article.
Your contribution represents your own views and responsibility unless it is explicitly identified as an official x_O publication or statement.
Readers should consider the article’s author, references, context, and any relevant disclosures when evaluating its content.
14. Editing Published Articles
Where the platform provides editing functionality, authors may be able to update their published articles.
Please correct significant factual errors and update information when necessary.
For substantial corrections, it may be appropriate to explain what changed and when.
x_O may also request changes or take action when published content raises legitimate concerns under our policies.
15. Reports and Content Concerns
Readers and members may report published content that they believe violates x_O policies.
Reports may concern copyright infringement, privacy violations, harassment, misinformation, fraud, or other issues.
If your article receives a report, x_O may contact you for clarification or supporting information.
Depending on the circumstances, the article may remain available, require revision, be temporarily restricted, or be removed.
Please cooperate with reasonable requests and respond with relevant information.
16. Account Closure and Article Removal
Closing your x_O account does not automatically remove articles you have already published.
Previously published content may remain publicly available under your existing author display name, with an appropriate account-status notation and/or without a link to your author profile.
If you want a particular article removed or anonymized, submit a separate request through our Request Content Removal or Anonymization page.
Removal requests are handled under the applicable policies and procedures.
17. Before You Submit
Before publishing, take a moment to check:
- Is the article clear and understandable?
- Is the title accurate and relevant?
- Are important factual claims reasonably supported?
- Have you credited sources and quotations where appropriate?
- Do you have the necessary rights to use images and other media?
- Have you respected other people’s privacy?
- Have you disclosed relevant commercial relationships?
- Does the article comply with x_O policies?
A little care before publication can make a big difference to readers.
18. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Submission Guidelines as the platform and community develop.
The latest version will be published on x_O with its updated date.
19. Need Help?
